Job summary

Silgan Containers in Triadelphia, West Virginia, seeks an Injection Operator for a days shift (6:30am–6:45pm) on the B team. You will start up injection molding machines, monitor production, and ensure parts are counted and boxed for shipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting products for quality, documenting machine performance, maintaining a clean, safe work area, and assisting with end-of-shift paperwork to prepare for the next shift. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and are counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment.
• Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions that occurred.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
• Start up Injection molding machines
• Clean out grinders
• Trouble shoot minor machine/part issues
