Family Dollar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse team in Maquoketa, IA. The role covers preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting of conveyors, electrical controls, and material-handling equipment in a distribution center.
The position requires coursework or certification in electronic technology with maintenance experience, PLC/PC programming knowledge, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
- Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience.
- PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
- Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial controls devices/networking.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays; customer service oriented.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety procedures to maximize personal safety and that of DC associates.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (lift trucks, pneumatic systems, etc.).
- Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic problems with PLCs, motors, and I/O devices.
- Diagnose electrical problems using schematics and diagnostic tools (multimeter, laptop).
- Assist other maintenance technicians in repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Develop knowledge base of systems within the Distribution Center.
