Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Tech for a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment in Grand Rapids, MI. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain forming, machining, assembly, and packaging equipment during 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, PLC and electrical troubleshooting up to 480V, hydraulic/pneumatic repairs, CMMS documentation, and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Hydraulic repairs on pumps, cylinders, and lines.
• Pneumatic repairs on valves, actuators, and air lines.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting with multimeter and 3-phase up to 480V.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• PLC troubleshooting on production machinery.
• Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and transformers.
• Commitment to LOTO and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery during runs.
• Perform preventative maintenance per established plans.
• Rebuild mechanical and fluid power components.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic lines for equipment performance.
• Electrical troubleshooting, sensors, relays, and wiring checks.
• Use multimeter and diagnostic tools to verify operation.
• Adhere to LOTO and OSHA safety policies.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Collaborate with production to prioritize repairs.
• Identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
