Job summary

Avon is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to perform routine repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting. You will support installations, troubleshoot PLCs, read schematics, and ensure safety compliance.

CMMS records and accurate time tracking are required. The role involves reading blueprints, updating drawings, and collaborating with engineering to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Two years electrical experience in an industrial environment or four years with some post-secondary education in electrical craft.
• Able to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA guidelines and electrical test equipment (multimeters, scopes) and PLCs.
• Capable of troubleshooting and repairing electrical/mechanical equipment used in distribution/packaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Carry out installations of power, lighting, motors, transformers, relays, and control panels.
• Assist engineering with troubleshooting electrical services and PLCs to maintain reliability.
• Read prints/diagrams, propose modifications, and update drawings accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of time and material charges per job.
• Keep CMMS data accurate and up-to-date.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
