Job summary

Resource Search, Inc. is seeking an experienced controls engineer for a permanent, direct‑hire role on the night shift in Lansing. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC/HMI systems (Studio 5000, STEP 7) to keep automotive production running safely and efficiently.

Applicants bring 2+ years in manufacturing, strong PLC reading, and proficiency in C++/C#, with a track record of OEE improvements and cross‑functional collaboration across production and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing or automotive controls.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens STEP 7.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and automation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC/HMI control systems.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to resolve challenges.
