Resource Search, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer for a Lansing-based direct-hire opportunity on the 3rd shift. The role focuses on maintaining and improving automation control systems to support manufacturing operations and drive productivity, efficiency, and reliability.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and evaluate new automation technologies while ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing or related industrial environment.
• Strong programming and troubleshooting in industrial control systems.
• Experience with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens Step 7 PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop, and improve automation control systems for manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot complex controls issues to increase productivity and equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other functions to optimize performance.
