Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Controls Engineer (Off Shift) to join our manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot, design tests, and implement improvements on key control systems across the plant, with a focus on reliability and performance.

This full-time onsite role requires night shift availability and OT as needed. You will work cross-functionally with teams, document vulnerabilities, and track corrective actions, applying best practices in electrical/control engineering to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work NIGHT shift on a full time basis
• Ability to work OT as needed
• Technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and the ability to apply basic concepts within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
• Ability to use computer, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues across plant manufacturing equipment.
• Document system vulnerabilities and develop mitigation action plans.
• Track corrective actions to ensure accountability.
• Design and manage interfaces within systems to promote component reuse and best practices.
• Create and implement tests to identify design improvements.
• Stay informed about industry trends and continuous improvement.
