Job summary
Lear Corporation in Flint, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer for the 2nd shift. You will develop and implement software and hardware changes to improve machine uptime and efficiency in a JIT manufacturing setting. You’ll troubleshoot PLCs, program ladder logic, and coordinate with contractors to keep production moving.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3 years of related experience.
- Experience with PLCs (ControlLogix, MicroLogix, CompactLogix) and ladder logic.
- HMI programming experience with PanelView or similar.
- Automation equipment experience (Fanuc/ABB robots and vision systems).
- Experience with electric torque control equipment (Atlas Copco/Stanley).
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements software and hardware changes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Troubleshooting and programming of PLCs to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
- Instruct and coordinate department personnel for top efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of parts, machines, and preventive maintenance.
