Job summary

Target in Minnesota is seeking an Inbound Expert to support the General Merchandise (GM) area by ensuring stock, accurate pricing, and proper signage on the sales floor. You will help guests, sort and stock merchandise, and assist with back-up cashier duties as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and teamwork. Candidates should be at least 18, ready to work flexible schedules, including nights and holidays, and comfortable operating handheld scanners and merchandise equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and following multi-step processes.
• Capable of staying focused in a fast-paced environment and completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle ESIM items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
