ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a travel nursing job in Jackson, Tennessee. This role involves night shifts and a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week.

The RN will deliver high-quality care, supervise licensed practical nurses and CNAs, and ensure patient safety. The assignment requires critical care experience and BLS/ACLS certifications prior to the first shift, with potential for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
• Critical care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to formulate an individualized plan of care.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and delegate responsibilities effectively.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning by providing calm direction and reassurance.
• Maintain open communication with managerial and nursing staff regarding service needs and supplies.
• Assume charge responsibilities following the orientation period when requested.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
