Job summary

SSM Health’s Wisconsin Monroe Clinic Hospital is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. The role supports patient and family education, care planning, and interprofessional collaboration in a 36-hour weekly schedule for the ICU department.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s) by evaluating nursing practice.
• Establishes relationships and advocates with patient and family to develop a care plan.
• Develops and implements the plan of care using the nursing process, collecting assessment data and evaluating outcomes.
• Educates the patient and family about measures to promote health and comfort.
• Mentors nursing staff and fosters a positive work environment.
• Applies evidence-based practice to deliver patient-centered care across age-specific needs.
