Job summary

UF Health Leesburg is seeking an experienced RN for our Critical Care unit. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, coordinating with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other professional staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, top-of-license care, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment. A Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and ICU experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Florida RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• One year or more of critical care/ ICU or related acute care nursing experience preferred.
• BSN and CCRN certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients using the nursing process.
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, respiratory function and other critical indicators.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and standards of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, plan of care, medications, and discharge planning.
