Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Buda is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 15-bed Main Nursing Unit on the night shift (7pm–7am). This mixed acuity unit handles Medical Surgical, Orthopedics, Intermediate Care, and Critical Care patients.

The PRN schedule requires flexibility to cover med/surg, telemetry, or IMC as needed. Candidates should have ICU experience and a current RN license with BLS, plus the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program or 2+ years in a relevant role.
• Must hold RN license and BLS certification or obtain within 30 days.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize needs and create, implement, and assess care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Observe indicators closely and support evidence-based changes.
• Create a caring, safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute an integrated plan of care.
• Use problem-solving and available resources to support patients, families and staff.
• Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients and families.
• Maintain computer documentation and assist with charting as needed.
