Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Inpatient Float Pool covering ICU, AICU & CVICU. The role involves performing patient assessments, planning and delivering nursing care, and maintaining thorough clinical records during night shifts with weekend requirements.

Minimum RN licensure is required; BLS is mandatory; critical care training or cross-training eligibility after 1.5 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in inpatient (med/surg, telemetry, PCU, or ICU) or emergency department preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and administer medications.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
