Job summary

Qnity in Newark, DE is seeking an Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Technician for a 12-hour night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) to support maintenance at the site. You will repair and maintain electrical equipment and instrumentation to ensure safe, reliable operation and cost-effective predictive and preventative maintenance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Delaware Journeyperson Electrician license, with preference for Master Electrician; 5+ years of manufacturing experience and proficiency in SAP, MS

Qualifications

• Delaware Journeyperson Electrician License required; Master Electrician preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience; instrumentation/electrical knowledge in a plant setting.
• Willing to respond to off-hour emergencies and overtime as needed.
• Proficient with MS Office, SAP, and online training to complete job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, installs, maintains and repairs electrical equipment up to 480VAC, 3-phase.
• Maintains plant equipment including valves, regulators, solenoids, and pneumatic systems.
• Calibrates and tests instruments: flow, pressure, temperature, load cells, proximity sensors.
• Performs interlock testing and ensures safety safeguards comply with policies.
• Writes and trains others on electrical operation and maintenance procedures.
• Provides input for design of new processes and I&E work.
• Interprets blueprints, drawings, and P&IDs for work planning.
• Manages spare parts and SAP equipment files; schedules maintenance.
• Liaises with suppliers and manufacturing for equipment issues.
