Job summary

Nature's Bakery in Utah is hiring an HSE Technician to execute site Health, Safety and Environmental activities as part of our HSE program. The role emphasizes hands-on compliance, training delivery and incident investigations to foster a robust safety culture.

The position requires 3–5 years of manufacturing safety experience, a science degree, and strong communication skills. Night shift, 11pm–7:30am, with potential weekend hours; salary is $33.50/hour plus differential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in science, engineering, safety or IH preferred.
• 3–5 years' experience supporting safety and environmental programs in manufacturing or similar settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• GMP knowledge and food manufacturing familiarity are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an audit-ready state for site HSE standards.
• Manage environmental programs (air, storm water, water, spill, wastewater).
• Oversee hazardous waste management per regulations.
• Support deployment of site HSE programs and plans to position the site as best-in-class.
• Deliver HSE training to site associates and assist in training plan tracking.
• Investigate HSE incidents and drive root-cause actions.
• Provide technical coaching in HSE and related initiatives.
• Assist with safety audits and coaching on behavior for safety.
• Support risk management and asset protection efforts.
• Flex work hours including night/weekend as needed; backup for HSE Manager.
