Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in security or a related field.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• IAHSS or Facility Security Officer cert preferred.
• State license requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrols facility areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Assist visitors and staff, provide directions and escort when needed.
• Monitor surveillance systems and conduct property inspections.
• Document incidents and prepare clear reports.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies to ensure safe resolution.
• Secure entrances after hours and verify access control.
• Direct traffic and assist with crowd control during events.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain attendance, follow policies, and perform other duties.
