AdventHealth in Sebring, FL seeks a dedicated Security Officer for night shift. You will patrol, respond to alarms, and maintain life-safety standards across hospital properties while reporting incidents and ensuring calm, patient- and staff-safe environments.

duties include access control, de-escalation, basic first aid, and collaboration with medical staff to resolve issues. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; CPR and other certifications are preferred.

Formación

• Must read/write and complete legal reports with clear narratives.
• Understand safety rules, codes, and policies and apply them on site.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills; ability to work under stress.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel) and hospital security systems knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and within a team; monitor security operations.
• Meets facility testing requirements; certain certifications preferred (CPR, pepper spray, TASER).

Responsabilidades

• Patrol assigned areas to maintain life safety standards.
• Investigate suspicious activity and report hazards or incidents.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and alarms.
• Administer basic first aid within training level.
• Unlock doors and manage access following hospital policies.
• Monitor traffic and interviews individuals involved in incidents.
• Document incidents using written and electronic formats.
