Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Public Administration or Criminal Justice preferred.
• 2 years of relevant security experience preferred.
• Law Enforcement Academy or Military experience preferred.
• At least 20 years old with valid Michigan driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains highly visible floor and vehicle patrols to deter incidents.
• Documents incident reports in a thorough and timely manner.
• Assists employees, visitors, and patients with directions and transportation help.
• Provides access control for secured areas.
• Communicates with patients, visitors, and health care staff.
• Manages verbal and physical conflicts using de‑escalation and restraint when needed.
• Responds to and investigates suspicious or emergency situations.
• Engages in ongoing study to maintain professional competence.
• Completes required trainings and maintains licensure and certifications.
