Job summary

Westfields Hospital & Clinic is seeking an overnight Security Officer to protect people, property, information, and the hospital’s reputation. You’ll respond to routine and emergency calls, de-escalate situations, and work with staff, patients, and visitors to maintain safety across HealthPartners sites in the Valley region.

The role requires independence, strong observation, clear communication, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision on a varied night schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience in Security, law enforcement, or public safety.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and promptly complete documentation including logs and incident reports.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas as assigned by vehicle or on foot.
• Respond to escalating behavioral and conflict events and de-escalate as needed.
• Coordinate responses to life safety and security incidents using ICS as required.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and assist in follow-up when assigned.
• Restrict access to unauthorized persons and enforce parking guidelines.
• Provide security assistance across HealthPartners Valley Region properties.
