Endeavor Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time night shift role (6pm–6am) focuses on unarmed security, safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors while patrolling facilities and responding to incidents.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a customer-focused service environment, plus applicable security certifications and a valid IL driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-focused, service-based organization is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols facilities and grounds on foot or by vehicle according to schedule.
• Reports incidents or potential loss and involves police as needed.
• Responds to service calls promptly and professionally.
• Provides directions and escorts to patients or visitors when needed.
• Directs vehicle traffic and enforces parking rules to prevent congestion.
• Assists in restraining disruptive individuals and involves police when necessary.
• Checks doors, windows, alarms, and safety equipment to ensure proper operation.
