Job summary

Hartford HealthCare at Home is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.

Responsibilities include refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders, and inventory management within the hospital pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, CT Registered Pharmacy Technician status within 30 days of hire, and hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the CT Department of Consumer protection within 30 days of hire.
• Pharmacy Technician certification strongly preferred; must be obtained within nine months of hire
• One year or more experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.
• Assists with patient and staff education, resident/student training, peer interviewing and coaching, process improvement, and discharge prescriptions.
• Positively interacts with patients and other hospital guests to enhance the quality of service.
