Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Windham Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department. The role supports Pharmacists in sterile and non-sterile medication preparation and distribution, with shifts 7:00am-3:30pm or 12:30pm-9:00pm.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, Pharmacy Technician Certification within 3 months or enrollment, CT registration within 30 days, and hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification within 3 months of hire or enrollment in a program.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with CT DCP within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient interviews, clarifies medication histories, and documents information in the EMR.
• Prepares compounded sterile products in accordance with regulatory and departmental requirements.
• Assists in preparation and distribution of medications using patient safety technology systems.
• Interacts positively with patients and hospital guests to enhance service quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
