Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Night Shift Housekeeper at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Under supervision and established procedures, you will perform a variety of heavy cleaning duties to keep patient areas, hallways and facilities sanitary and orderly.

Duties include cleaning floors, carpets and upholstery, stocking soap and paper dispensers, handling waste, moving beds and furniture as needed, and operating EDs cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and safety precautions.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English, and count numbers.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and materials.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, carpets, upholstery and dispose of waste following procedures.
• Operate and maintain E.S.D. cleaning equipment.
• Dust vents, lights, walls, and disinfect sinks, toilets, and beds.
• Prepare rooms for procedures and move furniture as needed.
• Restock soap and paper dispensers and housekeeping supplies.
• Assist with laundry and transport duties as required.
