Job summary

Brown University Health is hiring a housekeeping associate to clean and maintain Rhode Island Hospital facilities. The role involves floor care, window washing, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies while following strict safety protocols and ESD procedures.

Applicants must be able to read and write English, follow instruction, and operate a range of cleaning machinery. Union affiliation is noted; shifts run day hours with weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety precautions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment as required to perform E.S.D. tasks.
• On-the-job training with classroom components is required.

Responsibilities

• Shampoos carpets and refinishes floors following E.S.D. procedures.
• Dusts and cleans high vents, lights, pipes, and ceilings throughout the hospital.
• Cleans beds, bathrooms, and other fixtures; replenishes soap and paper supplies.
• Moves furniture and assists with patient-related tasks as needed.
