Job summary

Lemontree Healthcare seeks an EVS Housekeeper to join the Coral Gables Hospital Environmental Services team. This role focuses on cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and designated spaces to meet infection control standards. The shift runs 11:00pm–7:30am, Monday–Friday with every other weekend.

Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus, though not required. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and good communication are essential for providing safe, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare setting housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & disinfection of patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and public areas per established infection control and cleaning standards.
• Floor care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Trash & linen removal: Empty trash cans, replace liners, and transport waste; deliver soiled linens to laundry facilities.
• Inventory maintenance: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report shortages to the EVS Supervisor.
• Safety & sanitation: Follow PPE protocols and ensure equipment is maintained in good condition.
• Patient interaction: Provide friendly, respectful service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Quality control: Report cleanliness or safety concerns to the EVS Supervisor or Manager.
• Compliance: Adhere to facility policies, state regulations, and infection prevention protocols.
