Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Milford, MA is seeking a Non-Exempt Night Shift Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. Schedule: 11 PM to 7 AM, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

You will load supplies, operate cleaning equipment, clean patient rooms, and follow infection control procedures. High School diploma or GED preferred; a signing bonus may be available during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Loads service cart with appropriate materials and supplies for assigned area.
• Operates and cleans various types of cleaning equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Cleans operating suites using germicidal cleaning solutions and arranges furniture and equipment.
• Cleans patient rooms, observing isolation techniques and ensuring a safe, clean environment.
• Cleans assigned areas including walls, doors, ceilings, fixtures, and windows.
• Climbs ladders to reach high areas for cleaning, using safety precautions.
• Collects and/or distributes soiled or clean linen, maintaining linen closet cleanliness.
• Dust mops, wet mops floors, and vacuums carpets.
• Maintains floors and baseboards using appropriate cleaning methods.
• Maintains carpets through regular vacuuming.
• Collects waste and/or hazardous waste, following infection control policies.
• Performs other duties as required to ensure safety and sanitation.
