Job summary

Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is seeking an Environmental Services associate for a full-time evening shift. You will maintain a clean and sanitary environment in patient areas, offices, and clinics under supervision, handling routine cleaning tasks and equipment operation.

The role requires about one year of related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Evening shift is 3pm-11:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation; free parking and benefits are

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read simple instructions, write, and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition and keeps stocked with supplies.
• Removes waste including rubbish, cardboard, recycle paper, and hazardous material.
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and patient rooms; replenishes supplies as needed.
• Disposes of trash and replaces liners; transports linen to designated areas.
• Transports linen hampers and replaces bags; performs cleaning tasks before/after functions.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports equipment problems to supervisor.
