Job summary

Banner Health in Buckeye, Arizona is seeking a Night shift Environmental Services Associate to perform cleaning of patient rooms and facility areas in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role supports safety, infection control and patient comfort across the Buckeye/Banner Estrella network.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, disinfecting, restocking supplies, and responding to questions from staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
• Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card is required at hire for certain facilities and must be maintained for duration of employment.
• Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to policy.
• Empties hampers and transports soiled linen and removes trash and medical waste (including sharps).
• Inventories restocks supplies such as toilet tissue, towels and hand soap.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and logs repairs; protects equipment and logs usage.
• May perform special projects such as windows or wall washing.
• Responds to questions from patients, staff and visitors; meets customer service goals.
• Under regular supervision, works at an assigned facility/area and interacts with internal and external customers.
