UConn Health is seeking a Custodian to join the housekeeping team on the Farmington, CT campus. The role involves cleaning patient areas, offices, classrooms, and public spaces across multiple buildings, with duties including dusting, mopping, and waste handling.

Candidates should be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and perform basic maintenance tasks. The position requires physical stamina to lift and move materials; prior custodial experience is preferred.

Formación

• Some interpersonal skills; some oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate, care for and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment used in daily work.
• Some ability in simple record keeping.

Responsabilidades

• Performs custodial tasks and maintenance in patient rooms, offices, classrooms, and common areas.
• Dusts, mops, vacuums, and cleans floors and surfaces; handles glass and furniture polishing.
• Moves and stages furniture as needed and helps with basic maintenance tasks.
• Reports repairs needed and safety concerns to supervisor.
• May lift and transport supplies and assist in regulated medical waste handling as required.
