Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial tasks and maintenance
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to operate basic custodial equipment and maintain records

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial tasks and maintenance of areas in the Student Union building and related facilities.
• Dusts, vacuums, sweeps, and cleans floors and surfaces using appropriate equipment.
• Washes, dusts, and polishes glass, woodwork and metal surfaces.
• Collects and disposes of trash and performs recycling as instructed.
• Reports equipment in need of repair and assists with minor maintenance as directed.
• May change light bulbs and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and entrances.
• Move furniture and set up rooms for events.
