Thomas Cuisine is seeking a hospital cook for the graveyard shift in Fresno, CA. You will prepare nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining safety and dietary guidelines in a collaborative kitchen environment.

Candidates should have 2+ years in a commercial kitchen, possess ServSafe and Food Handler cards, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening. A High School Diploma/GED is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and assemble all items needed for preparation.
• Follow recipes and production sheets to create nutritious, high-quality meals.
• Evaluate food preparation and recommend changes to improve operations.
• Adhere to opening/closing procedures and sanitation standards.
• Assist with training new Food Service personnel.
• Report repairs and maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
• Meet tray line, cafeteria service, and catering deadlines.
• Use progressive cooking procedures to ensure quality products.
• Apply garnishing and food presentation techniques for optimal quality.
• Follow daily prep and pull schedules and manage inventory.
