Job summary

Thomas Cuisine is seeking a hospital cook for a full-time, on-site role in Clovis, CA. You will prepare nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors, following dietary guidelines and safety standards.

The position requires weekend and holiday availability in a fast-paced hospital kitchen environment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of commercial kitchen cooking experience, ServSafe certification, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• State Food Handlers Card required.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and assemble all items needed for preparation.
• Follow recipes and production sheets to prepare nutritious meals.
• Evaluate and improve food preparation and operations.
• Maintain sanitation and safety practices in the kitchen.
• Assist with training new Food Service personnel.
• Report maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
• Meet deadlines for tray line, cafeteria service, and catering.
• Weigh and measure ingredients and manage storage and inventory.
