Hospice Austin is seeking a Registered Nurse for Christopher House in Austin, TX, providing in-patient nursing care. The role requires working the 7pm–7am shift with a 0.9 full-time equivalent, coordinating with the care team to assess and manage patient needs during end-of-life care.

The nurse will conduct comprehensive assessments, manage symptoms, educate patients and families, and ensure timely documentation and adherence to state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Unrestricted RN license in Texas.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care for patients as directed.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient needs, including physical, psychosocial, and environmental factors.
• Triages patient care problems and manages discomfort and symptom relief.
• Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
• Coordinates care with physicians, family, and other care team members.
• Documents assessments and progress notes to reflect goals.
