Job summary

Hospice Austin seeks an Afterhours Visit Nurse (PRN) to support patients and families in the Spicewood/Austin area from 4:30 pm to 7:30 am. You will perform focused assessments, manage symptoms, and complete visits with accuracy in the EMR.

The role requires a Texas RN license, CPR certification, and strong end-of-life care skills, working with the Clinical Services team to uphold hospice standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing and RN licensure in Texas.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and symptom management during patient visits.
• Assist with transfers to inpatient units when needed.
• Complete documentation accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on symptom management and end-of-life care.
