Job summary

Simplot Company in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a High Bay Freezer Forklift Operator (Crew D) to operate material handling equipment safely for moving, stacking and counting merchandise.

The role requires 1+ years of forklift experience and a high school diploma or GED, with the shift from 6:00pm to 6:00am, and pay of $27.18 per hour plus night differential.

This full-time position is based at the GF Idaho Warehouse in Caldwell.

Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience and/or training
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Push-pull forklift experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Executes the movement of cased product and totes to and from Packaging.
• Accurately monitors daily shipping activities and properly prepares trucks and railcars for shipment.
• Ensures the movement of railcars in a safe and efficient manner using the trackmobile.
• Conducts cycle counts, reconciles inventory and audits data.
• Operates a forklift and conducts daily inspections of forklift equipment.
• Utilizes computer and computer programs, including DCS (Data Collection System) to communicate, document, track shift information and create spreadsheets. Ensures that all documents and reports are completed accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• May assist with training other plant personnel.
• Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
