Job summary

MaineFlame is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator for the Ashland, ME site to run loaders, forklifts and other hydraulic equipment during the night shift. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency on a dynamic outdoor site.

You will perform daily equipment maintenance, assist with loading/unloading trucks, and follow supervisor directions. A high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years in wood production are preferred, with hands-on control-system experience valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; College preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a wood production facility; 1–2 years operating manufacturing equipment from a control system.

Responsibilities

• Operate the mobile equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Operate equipment on public or private roadways, maintaining awareness of surroundings.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the equipment; site cleanup.
