Job summary

MaineFlame Lead Operator position on the day shift is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and supervision of on-site personnel. The role includes light maintenance, site cleanup, and generating shift logs to document production activity.

Training new operators and ensuring compliance with DEP/OSHA guidelines are essential. This is a hands-on role requiring teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a wood production facility.
• 1–2 years’ experience operating manufacturing equipment from a control system.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks.
• Train new employees in safe operation of equipment.
• Follow DEP/OSHA and state regulations for equipment operation.
• Site clean-up and routine maintenance during operations and downtime.
• Provide production and downtime summaries and shift logs.
