Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a vehicle maintenance technician for a night shift in Utah. Responsibilities include diesel engine inspection, routine maintenance, fluid analysis, and diagnostics, with training on day shift before transition.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GED) and 2 years of heavy equipment/truck service experience. The role may involve shop, yard, or on-site work and requires safety-conscious performance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Two years of technical field experience servicing heavy equipment and trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil/filter, lubrication, coolant, fuel).
• Analyze malfunctions and report needed diagnostics or repairs to shift lead or shop foreman.
• Operate and inspect vehicle equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hand tools.
• Examine parts for damage or wear.
• Use computer-based maintenance software to create work orders, schedule PMs, and document repairs.
• Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
• Assist other department staff to ensure efficient vehicle operations.
• May work in shop, yard, or on job sites.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments.
• Perform and maintain fluid analysis program.
