Job summary

Staker Parson Companies in Utah is seeking a skilled automotive mechanic to repair and maintain construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and trucks. The role requires working afternoon/evening shifts (1:00 PM to 10:00 PM) and a high level of mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferably 5+ years as automotive mechanic focusing on heavy equipment.
• Experience with Komatsu and CAT dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and small engines.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs.
• Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment company-wide.
• Services vehicles/equipment including oil changes, greasing, fluids, filters, and PM schedules; troubleshoots electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Orders parts and supplies; maintains purchase orders and invoices; uses computer for job functions.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs functional/structural parts; tests performance.
