Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years healthcare or clerical experience required.
• Ability to coordinate and work with multiple departments.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and assembles patient records and data for departmental operations.
• Greets visitors and assists at the reception.
• Uses clinical and patient information systems to support patient care.
• Coordinates department communications and screens telephone calls.
• Assists in orientation of new administrative staff.
• Manages supplies and equipment and performs basic troubleshooting.
• Schedules shifts and manages timecards/payroll in Kronos system.
• Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers with other departments.
• Updates bed placements in HEV for appropriate admissions.
• Enters patient charges and coordinates billing.
