Job summary

Guest House of Milwaukee seeks a Guest Services II for a 3rd shift role to support shelter operations and guest experiences. You will respond to complex guest needs, reinforce safety and trauma-informed practices, and ensure accurate admissions and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in shelter or related human services, with strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. Evening and weekend coverage are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of shelter, residential, or human services experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Model and reinforce respectful, trauma-informed interactions with guests and visitors.
• Identify patterns or concerns in guest behavior and escalate as needed.
• Reinforce residence rules, agency policies, and mandated guidelines.
• Complete admissions and intake procedures accurately and timely.
• Conduct safety checks and coordinate emergency responses when needed.
• Attend meetings and trainings and share learnings with peers.
• Support dorm cleanliness, reporting, and follow-up actions.
• Assist with specialized services support and documentation expectations.
