Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is hiring for a Global Security Operations Center Operator to support safety, security, and crisis management for SPE facilities, productions, and travel globally. The role requires keen incident management, threat analysis, and rapid response across multiple security platforms.

This night-shift position (2200-0630) is part of a fast-paced fusion center within the S3 team. A relevant degree is preferred, and Japanese language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of GSOC/command center experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute entering data into CAD systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in International Affairs, Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• Japanese language skills preferred but not required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate incidents on company premises or sites of interest using appropriate tools.
• Review, analyze, and escalate intelligence data to mitigate threats to personnel and assets.
• Review abnormal conditions and elevate to decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate emergency response and craft clear communications during major incidents.
• Support open-source monitoring for events, production locations, and travel safety.
• Monitor technical security systems (access control, video, alarms) to detect incidents.
• Partner with GTA and Crisis Management on traveler security and duty of care.
• Support social media threat monitoring and event-related notifications.
• Assist in developing location risk assessments and incident reports.
• Maintain and update global distribution lists, location coordinates, and contacts.
