Job summary

Medical Devices Company is seeking a General Assembler in El Paso, TX for a 12-month contract on a W-2 basis. This entry-level role trains on production of active ingredients and medical devices under GMP and safety guidelines.

The position is on 5th shift (6pm–6am, Sa-Su) with 40 hours weekly and a pay range of $16-$20 per hour. Overtime may be required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 4 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read, write, and understand Basic English preferred.
• Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/pallet jack is preferred.
• Problem solving skills is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possess a basic understanding of production processes within area of assignment and a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Follow GMP, s and standard operating procedures.
• Transport materials of varying weight in accordance with established safety guidelines using material handling equipment and additional assistance as required.
• Demonstrates adherence to safety procedures by monitoring personal and peer behaviours, work environment and housekeeping.
• Available for overtime as needed
• Performs all duties with attention to quality, safety, and environmental matter such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, identifying, reporting, and appropriately responding to hazards in the work area (spills/accidents/near misses), always maintaining proper housekeeping, and properly labelling and storing chemicals.
• Assume responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of environmental problems as they arise. Complete all regulatory training as assigned (GPM, s, ISO14001, OSHA, etc.).
• Complete Operator Training Program according to established guidelines.
• Be available for other projects or assignments as requested by management.
