Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Production Technician in Somerville, MA to support the build and test of superconducting magnets. You will operate and maintain equipment, read drawings, and work with a multidisciplinary team to improve processes.

The role requires 6+ years in electro-mechanical assembly, a high school diploma or higher, and onsite presence with night shifts from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. The pay rate ranges from $30 to $41 per hour plus a 15% differential.

Responsibilities

• Build a variety of electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques as part of a cross-disciplinary team.
• Perform production builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Operate production, testing and magnet equipment.
• Identify problems and make clear recommendations to improve the process.
• Maintain high standards of detail, cleanliness and safety.
