Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician to support the overall Food Safety Plan through monitoring, record review, and inspections in a lab setting.

The role focuses on verification inspections, environmental monitoring, and daily data entry to ensure adherence to GMP and Safe Quality Food standards within a fast-paced production environment in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Must follow standard procedures to complete tasks accurately.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate cross-functionally.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct verification inspections for post sanitation and pre-operation cleans.
• Conduct pre-operational and environmental monitoring swabs.
• Conduct plating of environmental monitoring swabs.
• Monitor room, cooler and incubator temperatures.
• Conduct routine testing and monitoring of product and packaging attributes to established specifications.
• Conduct daily review of labels and retain product.
• Conduct real time review of production records.
• Conduct daily line inspections.
• Conduct routine data entry and filing of paper work.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by plant FSQA leadership.
• Maintain company confidentiality.
