Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock team in the New York area. The role focuses on safely handling palletized and non-palletized freight, using pallet jacks and forklifts, and ensuring freight is secured inside trailers.

You will scan shipments with handheld devices and work on a non-climate-controlled dock. The position includes a day/night shift schedule, competitive benefits for those working 30+ hours per week, and eligibility for an annual step progression.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights and weekends).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work safely and in compliance with company policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
