Job summary

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Aberdeen, MD. The role performs material picking, staging, and transport to support outbound shipments and inbound receipts, using sit-down LP forklifts and RF scanners in a safety‑minded warehouse.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Training starts on day shift with regular night or evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and heavy equipment; forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to following all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Pick, build, and stage orders using pick lists, RF scanners, and shipping documentation.
• Operate sit-down LP forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Stage, load, and unload materials for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Transport finished goods from manufacturing to warehouse locations.
• Verify order accuracy, quantities, and product condition prior to shipment/storage.
• Document daily forklift inspections and report safety issues promptly.
• Verify inbound/outbound paperwork and enter data into systems as required.
• Prepare damage reports and scrap materials per SOPs.
• Develop load configurations for outbound carriers to ensure safe transport.
• Support manufacturing by supplying materials and clearing finished goods.
