Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Night shift at the Chicago Heights facility. This part-time flex role requires lifting, loading, and unloading freight on a dock environment while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, use handheld devices to track shipments, and work various shifts including nights and weekends. Competitive pay and benefits apply for those working 30+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack safely.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
