Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our busy dock team in California. You will efficiently sort, handle, load and unload freight, and operate forklift and pallet jacks on a non climate-controlled dock, while maintaining safety and accuracy in shipment scans.

This role offers a night shift with a pay range of $24.37 to $29.93 per hour, with benefits for those scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week and eligibility for company-wide programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Available for various shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Preferred: dock or warehouse experience in transportation.
• Preferred: forklift experience in freight or LTL environments.
• Preferred: experience loading/unloading trailers.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift and use other equipment as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers with appropriate tools.
• Follow safety policies and work on a dock that is not climate-controlled.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock with varying freight volumes and conditions.
